After a very invigorating one hour walk at Ho'omaluhia this afternoon (I had to work off a delish Hokulani Red Velvet Cupcake), I saw this sign in the neighborhood while driving home:
Ulu Art has found another new home - the new Wellness Lifestyles Hawai'i on S. Beretania Street in Honolulu! This also happens to be the new office location of Alice Inoue (minister, Astrologist, Feng Shui consultant and teacher). Both businesses operate on a "By Appointment Only" basis.
Wellness Lifestyles Hawai‘i is owned and run by husband and wife team Brian Shimamura and Lynn Akina (one of my Feng Shui sisters). It's a beautiful gym conveniently located on Beretania St. before McCully St. - a great place for personal training. We are so blessed and proud to have several of our Ulu Art Images on display here. Please inquire about our book, Ulu Art: The Portfolio, which is available for you to browse through.
We are supporting our dear friend Keely Luke's charity, Kids Hurt Too, by donating two Kalo pieces for tonight's auction at the Hawai'i Prince Hotel.
A recent Ulu Art canvas giclee order came in. We're always so thrilled when one of our pieces gets a new home!
Ulu Art's first ad came out this evening at the Spa Hawai'i Launch Party which took place at the Westin Moana Hotel!
Founders Kapua Inglis, Editor in Chief, & Tiare Friedman, Creative Director, radiated in pride and glory as they were surrounded by numerous family members and friends for the unveiling of their Premier Issue.
Look at this beautiful 60" x 40" Canvas Giclee of our signature piece - 'Ulawena!' Isn't she gorgeous??? She will be hanging proudly at the new Makana Esthetics Wellness Academy in Honolulu. She makes her grand appearance this evening at their Grand Opening shindig. Have fun, Ulawena! Spread the love!!!
Congratulations to our dear friend Chris Hall and her biz partner Malia Sanchez!!! YOU GO GIRLS! Here's to much success, joy and prosperity to you and your 'ohana!!!
Back in November of 2007, Ulu Art was asked to join Kirk Matthews in the morning to introduce Ulu Art's Portfolio to the islands!
Ulu Art is shown in a Hawai'i Kai home featured on HGTV's popular show "What You Get for your Money."
MAHALO to Ms. Linda Le and Dan for your support!!!
I had a very early morning shoot at Ka'a'awa today. It's always tricky for me to get up at 5am in the morning however, IT IS SOOOO WORTH IT!!! The early morning light and calm weather made for ideal shooting conditions.
Back in July of 2007, we were asked to to be on OHA's "Na 'Oiwi 'Olino" radio show with Brickwood Galuteria and Kimo Kahoano. We had such a blast with these guys!
This neat radio show features Hawaiian owned businesses in our islands. Fortunately for us, half of Ulu Art is Hawaiian!!!

Kimo and Brickwood made the interview so easy. It was a very exciting experience being in the studio LIVE for everyone to hear!
MAHALO NUI LOA to OHA for allowing us to be on the airwaves with Hawai'i's funny guys, Kimo and Brickwood and the opportunity to share Ulu Art with the State of Hawai'i!!!
Oh, and thanks to all the listeners for supporting this awesome program!!!
